Freedom of Expression

A group of artists and economists returned their awards recently to protest the recent hateful incidents happening in the country.
Every opinion that the liberals provided were termed as Freedom of expression by the mainstream media.

A firebrand Hindu nationalist leader made some not-so-soothing but a valid comment about the Muslim community. The mainstream media soon branded the nationalist leader as a hate monger and termed his speech as a hate speech.

But as per the Indian constitution, everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression.

This blog post is written as a part of the A to Z Challenge annually held in April every year.

My April A to Z Challenge 2017 post will be written on a common theme – Hypocrisy of Indians.
