Being a girl is not all that great. Sure, you get to play with toys and wear pretty clothes, but there are some serious downsides to being a girl that you should know about before making the decision.
Strangers make remarks about your body.
Strangers will make remarks about your body. This is something that happens to most women, and it’s inevitable. If a stranger makes a comment about your body, it’s best not to take it personally—it’s just men being men! You can either respond with a simple “thank you” or ignore them entirely (which is fine too).
The best way to handle this situation is by ignoring strangers when they start making comments about your appearance or actions; otherwise, they may continue making inappropriate comments until someone else acknowledges their behavior by saying something like “Stop staring at me!” or “I didn’t ask for your opinion.”
Your body is constantly sexualized.
You are constantly sexualized. Men stare at you, catcall you and make inappropriate comments about your body. They assume that you’re interested in them sexually, or that you want to have sex with them. This makes it difficult for women to get a sense of self-esteem and confidence because they feel like they don’t deserve it because of how men treat them when they’re just walking down the street minding their own business!

The sun can damage your hair and make it frizzy, dry, and brittle. It can also cause it to get oily and greasy as well as dull and lifeless. This can be a big problem if you have long hair that needs special treatment every day because of how fast the weather changes here in Florida!
Shoes are uncomfortable and expensive.

It’s expensive to wear makeup consistently.
I’m not just talking about the cost of makeup itself, but also the fact that it’s a large part of the beauty industry. If you’re thinking about buying makeup, or are already invested in it, then this can be an expensive habit to maintain.
Makeup is often perceived as being artistic since most people have no idea how or why they do what they do with their tools and brushes every day. It’s also one of those things where we’re told by our parents and friends (or even strangers), “You should wear makeup because otherwise people will think less of you.” This leads us into believing that wearing makeup is something we need to do for other people’s approval rather than finding out for ourselves if it really makes us happy!
Many people treat you like a subordinate.
You are expected to do the following things for your family and friends:
- Get them what they want, when they want it.
- Listen to their problems without question or criticism, even if you think they’re crazy.
- Follow the rules of society without question or criticism, even if they make no sense.
You may be treated differently by men than women (or vice versa) in certain situations because of your gender; this includes being asked for favors or help more often than other people would be asked for theirs—even though doing so is completely optional for both parties involved.
People will walk right into you and make no apology.
The thing about walking in a crowd is that you have to be aware of how people walk. You can’t just assume that everyone will stay on their feet and keep them moving at a brisk pace. If someone walks right into you or cuts in front of you in line, it’s not their fault—it’s because other people are doing that too! You need to learn how to fend off these things before they happen.
When I’m out on the street by myself, I don’t mind if someone cuts me off (though I usually don’t like it), but when there are other people around me, they must know better than to do this; otherwise they’re just being rude!

Being a girl isn’t all that great. In fact, it’s not so great at all. Women are still treated as second class citizens in most countries, and there are many things that men can do that women can’t. Women are always judged based on their appearance: if you’re too fat or too thin, if you have no makeup on or lots of makeup on…it doesn’t matter how much education or work experience you have—you’ll always be judged based on what kind of clothes/shoes/hairdo you wear!
If being a girl were easy and perfect then everyone would want to be one! But the truth is that being female has its disadvantages…and sometimes those disadvantages outweigh all the good things about being female!

As you can see, being a girl is not all that great. It’s definitely better than being a boy, but there are still some issues that need to be addressed. In particular, we need more female role models in politics and media so we can see how they behave when they’re on television or at the podium. The best thing people who are interested in gender equality can do is speak up about these issues and try to make change happen!
